That is correct. If you have an 64-bit PC (Windows XP or Vista) then, obviously all you need is Virtual PC 64.

VMWare Workstation is used in lieu of VPC since it supports the 32-bit host (XP or Vista) with the appropriate virtualization BIOS change that you will need to make. See the Vmware article referenced in the build guide.
